Dynamic Pixel

Mitsubishi Diamond Vision screens benefit from the use of a "Dynamic" pixel. This pixel is made possible by using the unique Quad Dot pixel pattern. The following image compares the Mitsubishi Diamond Vision pixel pattern to a typical trio dot pixel pattern display system:

As shown above, the dynamic pixel doubles the effective number of pixels (the visual pixel pitch is effectively shortened from 40mm to 28mm), and provides for higher resolution than that of a trio dot pattern pixel arrangement. The advantages of the dynamic pixel are demonstrated below:

The 3 images above represent what it would look like if a white line were moving from the top of the display down. As shown above, as the line moves downward, it jumps from pixel - to dynamic pixel - to pixel. This sharing of dots provides higher resolution than systems utilizing a trio dot pixel pattern.
